200 Club Awards Grant to Police for Laptop Computer

With a matching grant received from the Bergen County 200 Club, SHPD purchased a new laptop computer with Info-Cop Software and a Verizon Air-Card. The laptop will enable officers out on patrol to obtain information from the local, state and national databases, including DMV the court system.

With the help of the South Hackensack Police Department, a Belford man was arrested by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office on Dec. 8 for having sexually explicit conversations with a teenage girl via the Internet.
