Chief Frew Makes Bail

Good News South Hackensack!

Police Chief Michael Frew was the top bail-raiser at the Hackensack MDA Lock Up.  He raised $3,165 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Jerry’s Kids.

The event was held on March 2 at Don Pomodoro Ristorante in Hackensack.  Chief Frew and other local business leaders were “arrested” at their place of business and transported to “jail”.  They were detained between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm in an attempt to raise bail to benefit the MDA.

The total amount raised by the event was $28,000.

The MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy, and education.
