The Police Softball Team won the 2009 Bergen County Police Softball League Championship.  It was the team’s first championship since 1995.  After finishing the regular season with a record of 9-1 the team beat the Port Authority Police in the semi-finals.  They then beat Mahwah PD 2 games to 1 in the finals.

The team is made up of officers from Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson counties.  South Hackensack PD players include Officers Bob Chinchar, Dave Agar, Dan Breslin, and Deputy Chief Michael Montenegro.
