Ptl. Agar Chosen Officer Of The Year
Chief Michael Frew announced today tha Ptl. David Agar was been chosen to receive the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award from the John H. Gertz American Legion Post 310 in Little Ferry.
Ptl. Agar joined SHPD in 1994 as a dispatcher. He became a Police Officer in 1998 and has consistently been one of the top officers in arrests every year. In 2005 Officer Agar was assigned to the Bergen County Prosecutors Office Computer Crimes Task Force. Since then he has made of 30 arrests of suspected child predators and prevent countless children from being victimized.
The award will be presented at a ceremony on April 4, 2009 at 7:00pm at the American Legion hall located at 100 Liberty Street in Little Ferry.
