Detectives Make Narcotics and Burglary Arrests

On Sunday May 3rd, 2008 the South Hackensack Detective Bureau observed Narcotics activity involving two Chestnut Ave. residents. A surveillance was conducted of the residence by Det. Sgt. Robert Kaiser and Det. Sgt. Robert Licamara. At approximately 8:30am two females, later indentified as Lisa Jacobi and Karen OCallaghan, exited the residence and proceeded to Queens, New York to purchase marijuana. Upon their return to South Hackensack both subject were found to be in possession of 8 ounces of marijuana and were arrested by Kaiser and Licamara. Both women were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana 1000 feet within a school. Both parties posted $5000 bail.

On Monday May 4th, 2008 the Detective Bureau was following up a burglary investigtion to a residence on Chestnut Ave. that had been previously reported on April 24th. The resident reported Jewelry, money, gift cards and credit cards missing from his home. On May 4th Det. Sgt. Robert Kaiser and Det. Sgt. Robert Licamara, with the assistance of the Paramus Police Department, were able to track the burglar using the stolen gift cards at Macy’s in Paramus. The suspect caught on video was identified as Karen OCallaghan of South Hackensack, NJ. OCallaghan was charged with burlary and theft. She later posted $5000.00 bail.
