Computer Crimes Task Force Nabs Another
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Task Force and members of South Hackensack Police Department announced the arrest of Brian Picardi, 45, of Brooklyn, NY on charges of distributing child pornography on January 22, 2008.
The arrest was the result of an investigation in which Picardi engaged in conversation via the internet and instant message with an undercover detective. During the conversations the suspect transmitted numerous pornographic images. A warrant was issued with the assistance of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office and Picardi was arrested without incident at his home.
The South Hackensack Police Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Frew, participates in and provides manpower to the county-wide task force.
