SHPD Assists in Little Ferry Home Invasion
During the early morning hours on November 21, Little Ferry police responded to an armed home burglary in progress. The situation resulted in an officer-involved shooting. A request for assistance was broadcast over radio and Sgt. John Rizer and Officer Peter Bongiovanni of the South Hackensack PD immediately responded to assist. Sgt. Rizer assisted in securing the scene and Officer Bongiovanni assisted in apprehending one of the suspects.
Chief Ralph Verdi of the Little Ferry PD sent a letter to express his appreciation.
