With a matching grant received from the Bergen County 200 Club, SHPD purchased a new laptop computer with Info-Cop Software and a Verizon Air-Card. The laptop will enable officers out on patrol to obtain information from the local, state and national databases, including DMV the court system.

Currently the officers need to contact a dispatcher at headquarters who obtains this information from each database separately. This new laptop make the process more efficient by providing all the information to the officer immediately.

The laptop had not been part of the original budget. Thanks to the grant from the 200 Club this new technology will now be in use.
