- No grass clippings
- No leaf bags

Trash Collection Schedule

Rear-Yard Collection
- Residential Mixed Refuse (no recyclables)
- Must be bagged and placed in an appropriate receptacle
Curbside Collection Only
- Household trash* such as furniture and other non-recyclable items
- Place at curbside no later than 6:00am on pick-up day
* No construction debris, commercial trash/material, or recyclable material will be accepted as trash by the contracted vendor
Recycling
Recycling Collection Schedule
The 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month is recycling pickup.
Cardboard, paper and co-mingles will be picked up on the same day but by separate trucks.
Recycling containers are for sale at Town Hall for $25.00
Paper and Cardboard
- Cardboard boxes flattened and stacked inside of each other
- Paper in brown bags or tied
- No plastic bags
Co-Mingle
Bottles and Cans (Co-mingled)
- NO PLASTIC BAGS, dry cleaner plastic, or other types of film
- All bottles and cans need to be rinsed
- Only plastics with the numbers 1, 2, or 5 in a triangle can be recycled (ex: shampoo bottles, milk jugs, etc.)
- NO POLYSTYRENE (STYROFOAM)
Cardboard and Co-mingles will be picked up separately on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month
Leaves and Grass
- BUNDLES of twigs and branches (2 inches in diameter)
- No more than 4 ft. in length bundled
- No plastic bags, no buckets, barrels, pails, or cans
- Leaves and grass must be in brown paper leaf bags.
- Bags are available at the Town Hall
Leaves and grass (in leaf bags only) will be picked up every Wednesday, weather permitting.
Leaves are NOT TO BE BLOWN INTO PUBLIC STREETS
Metal
- No refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners picked up by the DPW every Wednesday.
- All other metal will be picked up on the first Wednesday of every month. Metal shelving, bed frames, appliances, and other metal items will be picked up.
Electronics
- Bring to Bergen County Utilities Authority
- Attend the County electronics events
